Minimizing your emotional reactions (grey rock)

๐Ÿ—ฟ The grey rock method is a coping technique: show no emotional reaction to provocation, and answer only the necessary minimum โ€” flat and dry, as unmagnetic as a grey rock.

Often seen in situations like these

๐Ÿ’ฌ To criticism or provocation, answer only what's needed, briefly: "Oh, really?", "Okay.", "I'll think about it."

๐Ÿ’ก Best used in a limited way, where you must keep crossing paths and no major threat exists. If retaliation or danger worries you, secure a safe place and someone to call first.
