The short answer
A self-harm or suicide crisis deserves to be taken seriously. But you don't have to stay in the relationship to carry that crisis alone.
When this happens, try this
- If a life seems in danger right now, call 911 immediately, and contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for help.
- Don't go over alone to manage it yourself — it's safer to tell someone you trust or a professional counselor what's happening.
